Description of the work:
The work is made entirely by hand on rigid cardboard in A3 format. The creative process begins with a pencil sketch, finished with rubber, and continues with the application of color using acrylics applied with Uniposca markers and a brush. This is not a digital process, but an authentically analog work, in which each stroke retains the energy and spontaneity of the artistic gesture.
The outlines and backgrounds are deliberately rough and imperfect, in line with a stylistic choice that enhances the materiality and physicality of the hand-made drawing. This imperfection becomes an integral part of the visual language, underlining the genuineness of the work and its artisanal character.
The image depicts two vintage oil cans. The larger main can is for motorcycle oil and features the words “Motorcycle Oil,” accompanied by an illustration inspired by 1970s motorcycles. To its right is a smaller can, labeled “Everyman,” for bicycle oil. The contrast between the two objects suggests a reflection on the evolution of mobility, between speed and simplicity, power and everyday life.
