FIAT126 (2023)

Art critic (with a dash of 70s irony):

Ah, the Fiat 126! Symbol of an Italy that was speeding (but calmly) towards modernity, with a full 23 horsepower ready to unleash windstorms... in the passenger's hair, if you were traveling with the windows open. In this poster, the artist celebrates the little great queen of urban asphalt with the solemnity it deserves: a riot of primary colors, a child at the wheel (yes, a child!), and a phrase that shouts: "WHAT POWER 23 HP!!" with the enthusiasm of a Formula 1 commentator on caffeine.
The digital collage mixes advertising and toy languages with a postmodern irony: the juxtaposition with Hot Wheels is a masterstroke. Because yes, the 126 wasn’t just a car… it was a 1:1 scale toy car, with small dimensions, cubic proportions, and a personality worthy of an 80s Italian cartoon.
The child with the helmet perfectly represents the spirit of the era: safety first, but only for the driver. The passenger? He can fend for himself. But that dazzling smile reminds us that, even if the engine was louder than a Vespa going uphill, driving the 126 was a mystical experience, an act of faith and optimism.
The bright yellow background leaves no doubt: this is a celebration of a pop icon, more pop than pop art itself. It’s a Fiat that doesn’t ask permission to be cool – it just is, even if it takes 30 seconds to go from 0 to 60… downhill.
The Fiat 126 is the heroine of compressed mobility, the four-wheeled dream that fits in a bicycle parking lot. A brilliant and affectionate tribute that transforms a tin can into a legend on paper!
